General Discussions / Dash Wiring Harness
« Last post by Clewisiii on Yesterday at 05:21:33 PM »
I need advice.  All of the wiring in my engine bay was gone.  Eaten by rodents.  But my Dash harness seems to be complete.  I could take an OEM meter and check every wire.  But a new dash arness can be purchased from Lectric Limited for $650.  For how far i am going on my car, should i just suck it up and buy the new harness.

Mid Century Cadillac Discussion / 1955 Eldorado Side Seat Badge
« Last post by David King on Yesterday at 11:43:34 AM »
The '55 Eldorado I am working on had a modified interior from the previous owner. One of his "improvements" was to cover the Eldorado badges on the sides of the seats. The adhesive was on the lens to hold the leather cover. I bought some 3M adhesive remover and a headlamp polishing kit. That worked well. I polished by hand just to be careful.  I did not take a photo before I completed the 1st one, but it was the same as the one not cleaned yet.  The remover took off most, but it was not completely free of residue.

Yes, Clay bars are great. Use them once a year or so. Clay/Lexi

I'm not 100% it will work. Many times I have found parts like this to work out just fine. A few times it didn't work. $10 gamble.... reward worth the risk. You can always return it.

55 to 58 are the same. I would think that the hardware would be the same across many years. Your local auto parts store may have what you need.

Are you certain this will work? I've checked that part number over several platforms and it says it doesn't work with mine. However it does look very similar. Thanks for the info, for 10 bucks I may get it just to see.
