When I saw the chrome is good I mean no rust.  The labor on fixing rust is huge.  But stripping and re-dipping, if it costs me $3000 on each end i am happy

Wayne is dead right on the title issue.  Off the top expect to deduct around 40% of the value for the salvage or reconstructed title.  Now you're $60,000 car is a $36,000 car that, if you ever tried to sell it, even being an Eldorado, most people will steer well clear of it.

My dad knows the guy who owns the auction. It is still open for a month. The opening bid is $125. No one has bid yet.

I am going to look under the hood and around the normal rust out areas. Honestly if it has good fenders it is worth it just to pick those off.

The melting point of aluminum is 1400 degrees. I see intact aluminum. Melting point of pot metal is about 900 degrees. I see melted pot metal interior and one indicator bezel. So I assume that was the heat range.

If you get it, I'd love to see it up close.
Wonder what it looks like under the hood.

If the ELDO trim isnt too toast, would make for a good pattern maybe.
I would leave it as is and put two milk crates in for seats :-)

Well here is an update.  This car was from Auburn Hills Michigan.  It ws in a garage fire and was covered by Haggerty.

It is a clean title not salvage.

It looks like it was well kept before the fire.  With clean up to wiring I am sure it will start and drive.

Hood is toast.  Fenders have some dents on top.  I think from the garage collapsing.

Otherwise the car is straight.  There was one area behind passenger door that had bondo.  It looks like it was a dent not a hole.

Interior Toast  Pot Metal all melted.

Cruise control,  AC,

I think it will sell cheap.  Auction fees are high.  I looked at a similar burned car they sold.  It was only burned in Back seat.  Sold for $550  Auction fees $380

The chrome is discolored but no rust or pits
