Thanks,

I don't believe so. The face font and curvature on the face plate would be two issues that would stand out right off the bat.

Thanks. My 61 radio's antenna switch is not working and I have access to a 59 so I was hoping to just switch them out. The antenna is fine and the wiring and fuse are ok so I'm down to the radio shaft switch.

Does the radio itself work?  I've got a couple 61 radios lying around somewhere that don't play but I think the switches are good. Could always swap them out.

Hello Kkarrer  If I remember correctly GM used the same radios from 59to 64 by just changing the face plates .If possible place the radios side by side too see if they match up . The face plate bolt holes should be the same even if the faces are different .Have patience changing them over as internal parts are delicate .The radio repair book is a great help on these radios for repairing problems.

Someone here has already tried modifying a 63/64 AM/FM unit to fit a 61/62 and no dice.  They did some pretty extensive modification attempts if I recall correctly, so. . . 59-64 is not the correct range.

Dan,
I'd appreciate having a switch in hand before I delve into the radio in my 61. I can get it right back to you.  I can hear the switch mechanically working when I pull the knob out and in (same with the 59 radio that I was looking at.), but it could be that the contacts need cleaning.  Don't know if that was a typical problem with these sets, but the switch itself appears to be pretty robust.
Thank you for your kind offer.  Here's my contact info:
