Upper window bumper screw
« on: September 14, 2017, 01:40:45 PM »
I was changing out my upper window rubber bumpers and lost the sheet metal screw. Evidently it is not something readily available at a hardware store. It is a #8 x 1/2" phillips flat head sheet metal screw with a 1/4" diameter head. This smaller head is normally on a #6 screw. I have attached three pictures. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I would call a narrow head screw a trim head.  But I could not find anything on a quick search for that.

Thanks to all those who have tried to help. Low-and-behold I found the screw. I had looked everywhere including moving my work bench and the trash. I have a ziplock bag with various screws in small bags. I went looking for a screw recently and found the old upper rubber window stop with the screw in it. I don't remember why I put it in that bag, maybe by mistake, but ultimately I found it. Damn this thing of getting older and being forgetful.
