maybe you want to see picture of the rubber that goes between fender and car body? I send you some pics of them tomorow

That would be great.

Please do write up an article, and I will save it in my vault of good stuff to save. I'm sure it will be saved on this forum as well.

The bushings are all sourced from one manufacturer. Guess what, it is an oversea's manufacturer. Junk is junk, and this is what we are having to do in order to get our cars back in tip top shape.

Hi all,

I did do a trans swap, but I used a T700R4, with overdrive and lock-up convertor, the difference in how the car drives is amazing.

The shifts on the Jet-A-Way are smooth, I will give it that, but not much else nice can be said about it if you plan on driving your car HARD.

The T700 has a .69 overdrive top gear, so I am now spinning at 1650 rpm doing 65mph.
It will light the tires from a stop if you want it to, I know, very Un-Cadillac of me, but it make the car so much nicer to drive.

I left the stock convertor (not a hi stall) I did change the trans governor though, so the changes are earlier as the heavier car with taller tires etc needs, so a Gov out of a chev pick-up was used.

I still have my old trans at home, I could put it back if I ever wanted to as there was no chopping involved on my car, but I doubt I ever would.

Happy to help if anyone want more information.

Wow .... Interesting. I don't think my old ones looked that far off.

Out of curiosity, where did you buy those old aftermarket bushings? Mine came from rare parts, and I have seen much cheaper ones on rockauto and eBay.
