1955 - Too Good to be True?

Not mine.  In my mailbox this a.m.  Purportedly 4,429 original miles?  $25,900.  If true this is a steal and should go fast?

Tangier Tan over Pecos Beige.  Too bad it is not a Fleetwood...

That car is stunning, I agree, I would question the truth of it? There was someone I knew bought a beautiful 55 sedan with really low mileage in that lovely Coral colour they did that year, he crashed it ! It was back on the road again, but I haven't seen it for around 20 years!

Paint and chrome have probably been redone at some point.  But who knows.  Interior panels look original.

I talked to the folks selling the car a while back.  They were particularly unhelpful and suggested that instead of asking some basic questions by phone as a screening measure, I should fly up there.  In short, they refused to answer questions about the car.  Plus, the tone of the comment back to me was fairly insulting.  You know that when someone says "No offense, but..." the next words out of their mouth are virtually certain to be insulting!

I did learn that the car has a rusty trunk pan before being totally turned off by these sellers. Buyer beware.
