I love that story! My Christine moment wasn't nearly as powerful. Rebuilding my '61 was a series of 'One step forward, two steps back' as I would fix or assemble one thing and two other things would either break or present themselves. While putting power to It for the first time, not much worked. I was questioning my sanity for getting into this mess. Then I opened the trunk lid and the lightbulb flickered on. My jaw dropped and I got a little teary eyed at the thought that there was at least one thing I didn't have to fix.

Slowly collecting the chrome. There is one more NOS headlight ring on eBay. But he is asking $95 for it. Worth it in my opinion. But not to me right now.

man I hate mice!!

that damn piss smell is almost impossible to get rid of

I think they are bred by the automotive companies to ruin our old cars so we have to buy new!

Some more shiny things. I think half of this will not need to be rechromed.

So the engine is smoking. But I swear there is not any oil leaking into the cylinders.

I am very fearful of all the rust that is inside this block.

Last year I was sandblasting up to January 1.  But I think I am calling it for this winter.  Ok I may tinker with a few small things. I may collect parts on eBay.  But I do not picture diving into anything big for the next few months.

In the beginning of January I have a second interview for a new job.  I am in a race with friends of mine to be the first to get a company car.  If it works out I may be able to dedicate more money to my Fleetwood.
