fuel sender unit (gauge sender doesn't need to work)
« on: August 09, 2017, 07:01:00 AM »
Hi,

I'm after a fuel sender unit but I only need it as a fuel pickup as I already have a sender unit installed for the Classic Instrument gauges.

If you've got one lying around and don't use it because the gauge sender is not working, let me know.

Cheers,
Greg

Greg, I have something I can get for you.  Do you care if it is a 1 or 2 line sender unit?

Thanks Russ.

I saw the twin lines and was wondering what the second line was for? A breather or a return line?
If it's a return line, is this for electric fuel pumps pushing more than the required 7psi?

I think I only need a single at this point.

The second line is for the return line on AC equipped cars.  The return line comes from the top of the fuel filter.   I have several of the 2 line types, but none of the single line sender units.

You can cap the return line or crimp and solder it shut.  10.00 plus shipping.  email me if you're interested;  russ85747@hotmail.com
