'62 the different "greens"
« on: August 30, 2016, 07:38:07 PM »
Hello, :) new to the forum (but have lurked for a while now). Have been digging through the archives; learning a lot.  The site is a great source of information.
I am looking for a '62 Coupe or Convertible, and although I have a paint chip book, I'm having difficulty finding images of the various green exterior colour for the model year.  Specifically , Pinehurst Green (#96) cars. I've googled, and come up short.  Does any board member have a pic or two of a '62 in Pinehurst that they can share?  Is that colour a lot different than Sage (#32)? I realize that Pinehurst was available on the Eldorado, and I believe it could be special ordered on other models (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Thanks!

Looking for a '62 or '61 convertible. An interesting '62 coupe I would consider too!

Thank-you Steven! That's one of the better digital paint chip samplers that I've seen.
Does anyone have any pics of the actual colours (Sage, Pinehurst) on the car?  Pinehurst I believe is a metallic.  I've found a few painted in Sage while googling, but none of the Pinehurst.

Yes, his car was originally pinehurst green but was repainted to some other green at some point in its life.

Your welcome. I am a graphic designer and recreated them for a coffee table book I designed and had printed of my car.

That Pinehurst green looks like the color of a sedan that was recently for sale on a Wisconsin Craigslist. Unfortunately I did not save a photo from the add.  I think I did make mention of the add in the for sale section of this site.

This might be Pinehurst Green from an ebay sale about 7-8 years ago

Nope. Pinehurst green was a very light silvery green metallic.
