1961 Eldo or Fleetwood door pull screw covers
« on: November 08, 2017, 10:16:42 PM »
I'm looking for the 4 (2 on each side) screw covers that go on the door pulls on my 61 Eldorado, but they're on a Fleetwood as well.  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

If I could borrow one from somebody I think I could make some...perhaps out of stainless.
Thanks,

Unfortunately not that part. They are very delicate and I am parinoid. I spent a long time trying to remove them without kinks or scratches. There is a Fleetwood parts car 4 hours away from me in Ohio.  I need to take a drive down and buy all itís door panels. Then I will have extras.

I want to get a complete extra set of the door armrest chrome plates and the stainless trim above the carpet flaps. My chrome is in poor shape since it was stored with the windows cracked open. There is a line of pits where the water and dust dropped in. And one of my stainless strips had most of its barns broken off.

Wow!  That would be great.  I'd love to have two, but if I could just borrow one, I'm sure I could make them from stainless or 20-18ga. steel and have them chromed.  I'd really like to finish off the inside of this car before Grand Nationals.  I found the two firewall to fender rods and got my wiper motor rebuilt and working and a few other things on the way, but those parts have been very evasive.
