Holy shit, look what the cat blew in. Lasagna on the road with a fork !. Glad your gere my friend. Savin my last hudepole for xmas eve.

Ha ha - it was quite a feat, eating with a fork, cruise set at 80, steering with my knees through the mountains... but so worth it for more of Jan's lasagna

Thanks man, so glad to reconnect with the skeggers!

What was the ignition problem?

Long story.. when my car was in the paint shop back in 2010, they said it was having trouble idling, then when I got it back, I couldn't even get it started.  I replaced the carb, cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, coil, swapped points to electronic ignition,  and battery cables and it STILL wouldn't start.  After all of that, apparently they had removed my distributor and it was 180 out.  Switched it around, got timing dialed in, and made sure I had my ignition switch wiring clean, and a good 12v keyed source to my coil, and it was good to go.

agree the 62 caps look killer on your car
the older caddy caps looked very plain and cheap in comparison

At least it was something simple.

The polished caps do really set off the car.  They were available for order from the factory, but I guess was a seldom ordered option.  May have also been standard equipment for the series 75.  I can't remember for sure.

Thanks for the compliments y'all... I really like the polished caps, but it was quite a bit of work.. on the plus side, water drops, dirt, etc just wipes right off.. stays shiney
