Source for brake hoses ?
« on: May 05, 2013, 02:25:59 PM »
Anyone know of a north American supplier for quality rubber brake hoses ?
I was reading about the south American ones crapping out after a few years over on the H.A.M.B.

Check with inline tube. I know they make their rubber brake lines in house.

There is this place too. They make their own as well.

Not sure where the rubber hose is actually made though.

Thanks to Lou and Jim...I checked pricing at NAPA in Portland,OR and there "second Saturday" sale price was $14.00 for the fronts. No one listed the back hose.I think there is a vendor on EBAY that is selling a slightly longer than stock hose for the back of the car..would be nice to know what the part # is for this hose.

Pat,

I know I got that back hose brand new. Stay tuned, I will see if I can find the part # for you.

Pat,

From what I recall looking at the rear hose reference from O’Reilly (hard copy no computer  :D) they had to go to the 1957 or 1958 to find the part number. They also were able to confirm the hose length was correct with the one on my 1956.

If you have your old one you could have the NAPA folk to see if they can match it with the 1957.

Good luck..!
