A friend of mine is moving and he is finally getting rid of his grandfathers tools.  He worked for Cadillac tool shop from the 40s through the 60s or more.  He had a lot of the original Cadillac service tools plus some of his own invention.  My friend has tried to decide what to do with these tools for the last few decades.  Now he is throwing them away.

I told them if they are just going to the trash can, let me have them.  If we cannot figure out a use I can always throw them away myself.  I hope he takes me up on my offer.

Let me know Carl, I have a truck or two!
Would be an awesome tool library for you...and for us to gain knowledge :-)

I'd love to get ahold of some of the specialty tools, like the cruise control and other goodies.

Ugh,

As a tool junkie, especially the late 30's to the late 50's, this makes me sad. I hope you can save the tools.

If you need any help identifying Cadillac Tools I have a good library of them.

Plus I am jealous.

He closed yesterday. Moves next week. So hopefully I will get a call when he does not want to unpack
