1961 Rochester Carburettor ID / gaskets
« on: August 28, 2018, 04:50:38 AM »
Hi Everyone.  Haven't posted for a while (3 years) and tbh, my car has just stood for way too long.  Trying to get her rolling (1961 Sedan De Ville Flattop) and having various fuel issue (fuel line dried out and cracked, etc, etc.).

Apart from the fuel line issues, having primed the carb (original Rochester) and started engine, but the carb leaks real bad around the base so I'm looking for a new gasket set.

As I'm based in England some advice would be really appreciated.  I can't see any specific ID numbers on the top of the carb, so did they fit any different versions of the carb during the model year or can I just order for a 61 Caddy Rochester and expect to get the correct gaskets?  Would anyone have a pointer at a good source of gaskets in the USA?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers from London
