The seat back panel is foamed channels sewn directly to a hard board material. Because of this it must be seen with a long arm sewing machine.

I think my long arm machine at work is 25 inches. Should be enough for this.

I stripped the front seat back today. This was the part I was worried would be the most complicated. On a more modern car the front seat back is a completely enclosed envelope. Making the pattern very precise for the fit. But it turn out the back was two completly separate pieces. Making the cover very simple.

My foam wax in decent shape but since it is very flat( only needing to add side  faces) I will remake it with new foam.

And under the foam into the cotton batting, here are my mice nests.
I think I will need to replace my coil springs thin metal with corrosion from mouse mess is not worth saving.
My next steps are to finish stripping everything, powder coat the frames, and rebuild foam.  I want a good base for test fitting the new covers.

I am going to have to drive up to Bay City Michigan to see all this company has.

Because this would be a time saver if it will work.

Playing with this seat, I am getting tempted again to just recreate the original.  I got out my material samples and started searching for thread for this combination.

The front seat back has been stripped to the spring assembly.  There are at least two different size springs so I am not going to strip this further till I buy springs

There was
Cover
Gauze pax on top
Foam
Cotton batting with burlap back
Burlap pad with thin straight wires across seat
Burlap covered springs.

The front seat bottom has been stripped to the foam. I will finish later.

I can tell that the tracks and motor were installed after the cover.
I am not ready to remove this assembly yet.

These covers seem very simple once removed from the seats.  I will need to create that presentation for reassembly sequence

The hog tings attach to a thick listing fabric. I found one for my blue at the fabric store. I did not see a selection for green yet.
