1962 series 62
« on: November 03, 2018, 01:33:23 PM »
I posted awhile ago about a gas cap door/grille for a '62 Series 62.   Have finally found a replacement door/grille but still need the springs & the plastic??? in the door itself. Any ideas who has made these springs in the past or where to source such???  ALSO the plastic pieces that are in the door/grille that the springs attach to.
Any ides or thoughts or recommendations appreciated.

I do indeed sell the kits on ebay. I am almost out of pins and have just bought a 3d printer to start making my own. I am not entirely satisfied with the ones I had made for me. They work fine but they need to be treated carefully during installation. I have fewer pins than springs at the moment because I have sent replacements out to replace those that have broken. The printer that I bought should easily make better pins than were made for me as the manufacturer makes more money by putting less material into the print. I am going to make much denser ones. If you can wait a week for me to make some new pins I can sell you a fuel door kit including springs and the new pins. If you are in a hurry, you can buy a set right away with the old pins.

I'm happy to report that the new pins are printing out really well. They will be included in the kits from now on.
