This car was discussed on the old site and in the clc board it was on Craigslist in 2012 and a guy named hameed I think bought it and did a partial refresh on it. He had it at Amelia island a few years back. It was a factory show car that a golfer Walter Hagen owned back in the day. It had a lot of factory custom stuff. The interior was off the chart. Console shifter for one.

I knew that someone here could identify that car noted in my last post. Figured it had to be a Cadillac show car but I was not sure. Thought I might see it in the Motorama book, which covers models on display up to the last show which was reportedly for the 1961 model year, but not there either. The author points out that 2 Cadillacs made that show, (photos included in the book), but neither show the car in question. Of interest to members is that a pearlescent white 1961 Eldorado Biarritz with the top down, was briefly discussed, (with a color photo published). Although this is not the car in question, author David Temple reports that "documentation about this car is lacking". An interesting piece of Skeg history. Clay/Lexi

The owner had a picture from the Chicago show. I donít remember if it was the 61 or 62 show.

That photo looks like it's been taken in the grounds of GM's design building, Warren Michigan  I think?

That is what I thought. Looks like it is sitting on a huge turntable so the car can be rotated for photographic reasons. Clay/Lexi

A period shot of a 1961 Caddy. The fellow is said to be Mackey Hargett, a cousin of Elvis Presley. Wonder if this car has survived. Clay/Lexi
