'55 CDV Front Disc Brake Conversion
« on: February 20, 2015, 04:24:19 PM »
A link to this article arrived in my mailbox today.  The site details conversion to front disc brakes on a '55 CDV.  After all is said and done you still have the original single MC, the hydrovac booster and a lot of wheel spacers.  It appears the cost of the kit is $600.

Not a bad deal but I think they are forgetting something. Don't you need a proportioning valve that works with disc brake calipers?

One would think so, wouldn't they?

I suspect that it is omitted as you are still using the factory original single cylinder MC?

If still using the original MC setup you aren't gaining anything and wasting $600 to achieve it.
